Autumn 2024
INTRODUCTION

What is EVENTURE?

During a two-week sprint, I collaborated with a team of three others to develop EVENTURE, an event ticketing platform that emphasizes intuitive design and accessibility.
I served as the lead UI Designer, guiding the team’s design decisions and ensuring a cohesive, user-friendly interface across the platform. I was specifically responsible for designing the onboarding experience.
problem

Many ticketing platforms are not geared to support students

As a team, we discovered that many ticketing platforms fail to address the specific needs of students, often overlooking features like personalized recommendations and accessibility accommodations. This gap often left students feeling hesitant and confused when navigating the platforms.
final outcome

A streamlined ticketing experience built for students

Design sprints requires quick decisions and constant communication

As this was my first design sprint, I learned a lot about collaborating in a fast-paced environment and making decisions as a team. With quick turnaround deadlines, we had to align quickly, trust each other’s ideas, and keep momentum throughout the process.
Alignment keeps the process moving
It was important to have frequent check-ins with team members to ensure we stayed on the same page and reduced unnecessary backtracking.
Quick decisions require trust
Tight deadlines pushed our team to rely on each other’s strengths and commit to ideas without overthinking.
